Expand your heart
When we close our hearts to others, we also close our hearts to ourselves.
While closing our hearts can feel like a way to protect ourselves, this limitation can also impact our experience of love. Instead of closing your heart, consider expanding your heart and using strong boundaries that limit access to your energy as a new way of being.
One way to try expanding your heart with mindfulness is to fully love yourself, your environment, and those around you. Slowly expand this feeling of love to your community, country, and then the whole world. As you feel love for the planet, all of its beings, and the universe, notice how you also feel embraced by this love. When you love the universe, you love yourself.
Love is expansive, fear is contracting and limiting. When you love freely, it is like unblocking a river and allowing water to flow. Moving as love, you are free to experience immeasurable joy. Mindfulness meditation unblocks our hearts and allow us to experience more love, freedom, and joy.
