We are here now
We only ever exist in the infinite moment of now. If you touch the fingertips of your hands together, you will feel life pulsing through your body. How we experience life in this moment of now starts with the mind.
The mind is only thought. If your attention is given to thoughts that are focused on the past or future, your body will experience stress from the mental projection of your imagination. The image you create of the past and future seems real, but it is distorted by our perception of what happened or will happen. We experience peace by living in the present moment.
With mindfulness, we remember that we are here now. You can try closing your eyes and placing one hand over your heart and one hand over your stomach. Breathe deeply and shift your attention to your breath and the functions of your body happening right now. This is peace.
